It is important that the bed is able to support both weight as well as movement without bending or breaking. In case if there is only one kid sleeping on the bunk bed make sure that the kid is sleeping at the bottom and the lighter of the two sleeper is sleeping on the top of the bed, also look that there is not more than a child sleeping on the top of the bed.
